Responsibilities:
- Assembly and Installation:
- Fit and assemble mechanical parts and components based on blueprints, technical drawings, or instructions.
- Install equipment, machinery, or structural elements at the designated location.
- Inspection and Testing:
- Inspect parts and materials for quality and conformance to specifications.
- Perform tests to ensure systems are functioning correctly after installation.
- Repair and Maintenance:
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty machinery or equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance to prevent equipment failure.
- Fabrication and Modifications:
- Cut, shape, and weld materials as needed to modify or fabricate components.
- Ensure accuracy in measurements and alignment during the fitting process.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to workplace safety regulations and wear appropriate protective gear.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school, diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in mechanical fitting, welding, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a fitter or in a similar role.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools.
- Basic welding and metal fabrication skills are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
